This key position involves managing the storage, inventory, and distribution of goods within the hotel, playing a crucial role in maintaining our high standards of operational efficiency and service quality.
About the Role
As the Hotel Storekeeper, you will be responsible for the effective management of all hotel supplies, ensuring that storage, inventory records, and distribution processes are handled with utmost precision and efficiency.
- Receiving Deliveries: Inspect and confirm the accuracy of deliveries against purchase orders, managing the return of damaged or incorrect items.
- Storage Management: Organize and maintain storage areas, ensuring efficient and safe storage solutions.
- Inventory Management: Conduct regular inventory checks, maintain accurate stock records, and utilize inventory management systems for tracking.
- Monthly Stocktaking: Organize and conduct monthly stocktaking activities, ensuring accurate and timely accounting of all goods.
- Distribution Coordination: Efficiently distribute supplies to various departments as per their requirements.
- Record Keeping: Keep clear and precise records of goods received, stored, and distributed.
- Supplier Relations: Manage communications with suppliers regarding delivery discrepancies and return damaged goods.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all storage areas, maintaining cleanliness and proper labeling.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with various hotel departments and the finance team to streamline operations and ensure efficient goods management.
- Experience: Previous experience in storekeeping or inventory management, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Skills: Excellent organizational and record-keeping abilities, proficient in inventory management systems like Materials Control.
- Knowledge: Good understanding of storage and safety regulations.
- Characteristics: Detail-oriented, reliable, and a team player.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; further qualifications in related fields are desirable.
